What started as a normal trip to Paris Fashion Week ended in horror for Kim Kardashian-West. The reality TV star was held at gunpoint in her remote hotel room and robbed of nearly $10 million worth of jewelry.
Kardashian-West was reportedly tied up and locked in her bathroom while the robbery took place. Luckily, she was unharmed during the incident, but her representative reported that Kim pleaded with the masked men saying, “I’m a mother. I have babies at home.”
The horrifying incident has left Kim shaken and uneasy, but her husband, friends, and family have rallied behind her.
Kanye West, who was performing in New York City, stopped his show mid-song to tend to his family. “I’m sorry. There’s a family emergency. I have to stop the show.”
Even Kim’s celebrity pals have taken to Twitter to express their love for her, as well as defend her against internet trolls who found the robbery funny.

Although many people stand with Kim and her family, one friend took the internet jokes more seriously: Chrissy Teigen.
“Fame is interesting,” Teigen posted to Twitter, “Celebs are supposed to love you guys while also knowing you’d make a meme of our dead bodies to get retweets. I just miss empathy, in general, for everyone.”
At the end of the day, it’s a gift that Kim is safe and back in L.A. with the people who love her most: her family.
